The Apgar score is basically to quickly summaries and understand the health of the new born kids against infant mortality. It is basically an acronym that stands for grimace, pulse, appearance, activity, and respiration.

There are two set of five values and you have to assign zero to too two on each of the five values and the highest unit that can be scored here is 10. This is used world-wide in most countries and is given to most of the new born kids out there at their time of birth.

The Apgar score was named after Dr. Apgar and it was invented by her in 1952. She was a doctor in Manhattan and she lived for 65 years. Even after her death, her invention is still used and that too not just in Manhattan but throughout.

She was honored USA postal services, she was also inducted in the National Women’s Hall of Fame in New York. She was also designated women’s history month honoree by the National Women’s history project.

Google made a very cute and beautiful doodle that had her image as a doctor who is examining the new born kid. The google doodle was in the picture and also in the animated or GIF form where the kid got replaced with various images and doctor was moving while examining instead of being still. The Google word was also obviously there in the doodle.
