Now, it’s time to do some valuable work, which is submitting your sitemap to Google. For doing so, you’ll need to have Google Search Console connected to your website. For doing so, please check out the Google guide for instructions.
Firstly, go to the Google Search Console and select your website. Now, from the dashboard, click “Crawl. And then click “Sitemaps”.
Now a new page will open, from that page click on to “Add/Test Sitemap” button which is in the upper right corner.
Now you have to enter the URL where you have saved your sitemap and remember, since it is a sitemap it should end with “.xml”. And then click “Test” to view the details of the sitemap.
Make sure that there are no errors in the sitemap.
As long as there are no errors in the sitemap, you can submit the sitemap to Google. Click “Add’ Test Sitemap” again and this time, instead of clicking “Test”, click “Submit”.
That’s it, your work is finished here, and Google will take care of the rest. Submitting Sitemap to Google Submitting Sitemap to Google.
