The founder has an engineering degree from BITS Pilani. Post engineering, he took a gap for one year before he jumped onto his post graduate career that he did from IIM Calcutta. Post this, he got a job as an investment banker in London for which he was very excited.
But the job was so underwhelming that he decided to leave his job and return back to India to do something exciting towards which he has a longer commitment. Phanindra Sama is the founder of RedBus, one of the leading startups of the country who became a major inspiration for Sriharsha. He found great success in the e-commerce industry of the country and he partnered with Nandan Reddy to start their own venture.

We wanted to ensure that not just a vendor but also a consumer could find the fastest way to ship something from Salem to Darjeeling. For that if we had to involve small services like DTDC, or regional services along with Blue Dart and FedEx, we were okay with it. We just wanted to build that network and make that transaction possible.
That is how we started. That is when I decided to come to Bengaluru because all the action was happening here.” They had to shut it off because Flipkart had changed the market by then.
They then hired a third partner and started working for Swiggy. This is how Swiggy was started.
